Covid-19 Rules

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020, we would like to update our customers on the measures we are taking to ensure their safety and always comply with recent Vatican laws.

All guests are now welcome to the Vatican City. Furthermore, no Covid test or quarantine is necessary upon arrival in Vatican City.

However, some safety precautions are still in place when on tour at the Vatican. And we’re keeping up with all the latest travel must-haves to ensure the safety of all our visitors.

Safety Measures

  • Tourists are required to wear masks at Vatican Museums. If you violate this rule, you may be expelled from the Museums.
  • There is no requirement for a vaccination certificate, a test certificate, or a “Green Pass.”
  • At the door, your temperature will be taken using a digital thermometer, and if it is higher than 37.5C (99.5F), you will be denied entry.

Changes to Opening Hours

  • The museum has reduced its capacity to allow for social distancing and to comply with Vatican laws.
  • The museum may close earlier than the scheduled closing time to ensure that all customers can safely exit the museum.
  • We recommend that customers check the official website of the Vatican Museums for the most up-to-date information on opening hours. Or contact us.

Changes to Ticketing Policy

  • Advance ticket purchase is mandatory to access the Vatican Museums.
  • We recommend customers book their tickets in advance to ensure availability and avoid long lines.
